APTITUDE brings together a large consortium of public and private partners across 11 EU Member States and Ukraine, coordinated by France’s National Agency for Secure Documents (ANTS). The project is set up to prove how the wallet performs in practical scenarios—from travel and hospitality check-in to broader mobility and service interactions, including vehicle-related credentials and payments.

For RDE, APTITUDE is a direct continuation of the workstream we advanced in EWC—connecting trusted digital identity with tourism and real user journeys—now extended to wider, everyday use cases. Following the WE BUILD kick-off in Amsterdam earlier in the autumn, the pace across the ecosystem is clearly increasing, with a strong focus on testing, integration, and demonstrable interoperability ahead of rollout timelines.
