RDE participated in the Global Digital Collaboration Conference (GDC25) in Geneva, a two-day international convening focused on the future of digital trust infrastructure—digital identity, verifiable credentials, and wallet ecosystems.

Our central focus was the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet): a practical cornerstone for European digital sovereignty and a tool intended to simplify everyday interactions for citizens and businesses across the Union. The conference underlined how rapidly digital wallets have moved up the global agenda, with strong cross-sector participation spanning public institutions, standards bodies, and technology ecosystems.

The European Commission contributed to the programme with a dedicated panel on digital identity wallets as a foundation for digital public infrastructure—highlighting the wallet’s role as a trusted layer linking identity and cross-border data exchange.
