RDE returned from a consortium working meeting in Santander, Spain, as part of SAGE—a cross-European initiative delivering the Green Deal Data Space and the governance, trust, and interoperability foundations needed to share environmental and sustainability data at scale.

Together with partners, SAGE connects high-value datasets and practical use cases across multiple sustainability domains—supporting the European Green Deal pillars (including biodiversity, climate adaptation, circular economy, and zero-pollution priorities) through a federated, secure data space approach.

For RDE, the focus is hands-on delivery: contributing to the modular services and business model elements that will allow the data space to function across domains and stakeholders—so public bodies, researchers, and businesses can rely on data that is not only available, but shareable in a privacy-aware and trustworthy way.
